To Love is an Act of Courage

You learn to love, bit by bit
To surrender to the other person's schemes and beliefs
you take years to build trust
so when the time comes that
you get to say that you really know someone
to know the exact thoughts by onl7 looking
into that person's eyes
-and so when that time comes you
can realy say that you loved someone-

then comes death, always
inappropriate, always too early or too
late
and takes it away from you

it is an act of courage
love is an act of courage

and so
if you have
the courage to ever love someone
you must know it was very brave of
you and
that
you've faced one of the greatest fears
which is
to lose someone you really love.

That's why I decided not to blame people when they decide not to be involved in people's lives in anyway. It hurts too much. Maybe we are better off. It's not an option for me, though...
